See how Haloo's search engine outperforms all other trademark search tools on the market, including Corsearch, Clarivate, Markify and TMTKO.
At Haloo, we're constantly testing our deep AI to ensure that our search engine is the best in market, producing the most accurate and comprehensive data available for your trademark searches. But don't take our word for it—see for yourself.
The takeaway: Haloo never misses a critical trademark conflict, while all other competitive searches do. Often. 3 times out of 5, on average.
Going head-to-head against Clarivate, Corsearch, Markify and TMTKO
We ran five trademark searches to test how Haloo performs against the leading trademark search platforms on market: Clarivate, Corsearch, Markify and TMTKO. We used five names from actual trademark infringement cases to verify the accuracy of search data that each platform produces.
All of these examples involve names that appear to be distinct from one another - and certainly not identical. Yet all five trademarks were determined to be too similar under the law.
- Flossbone (for dog treats), which was found to infringe on Flossies
- 3N (for reflective plastics), which was found to infringe on 3M
- Holaira (for medical inhalers), which was found to infringe on Alair
- Cozirc (for smoking devices), which was found to infringe Zirco
- Flip'n Chicken (for restaurant services), which was found to infringe on Frickin' Chicken
An accurate and comprehensive trademark search needs to look much further than identical or near-identical marks. The standard that is applied to trademark analysis is the "likelihood of confusion" - a complex legal test that examines a mark's legal protectability from various angles, including spelling and phonetic similarities. For more information on the intricacies of the confusion test, read this post.
Any trademark analysis is only as good as the search data that the analysis is based on.
So how did all search platforms perform?
- Haloo - 100% accuracy. Caught 5 out of 5 conflicts. No critical conflicts missed.
- Clarivate - 80% accuracy. Clarivate's TMGo365 product caught 4 out of 5 conflicts, which means they produced reliable search data in this test 80% of the time.
- Corsearch - 40% accuracy. Corsearch's NameCheck tool caught only 2 out of 5 conflicts. That's search data you can count on only 40% of the time.
- Markify - 40% accuracy. Markify caught only 2 out of 5 conflicts. Again, that's reliable data only 40% of the time.
- TMTKO - 40% accuracy. TMTKO caught only 2 out of 5 conflicts. Once again, that's reliable data only 40% of the time.
What about comprehensive searches prepared by human analysts with other providers?
We also compared Haloo's instant platform to the leading (human) trademark search service and found that we catch critical conflicts they missed 25% of the time - or 1 in every 4 reports. That’s human error your team can avoid by using Haloo.
Compare the cost of each search and the results are even more powerful. Haloo gets you deep comprehensive data instantly, for as little as $25/search. Competitive reports cost $1,000+ and come back in days.
For the first time, an instant trademark search tool can match or even outperform expensive legal clearances conducted by expert trademark search analysts. Similar results require multiple queries, such as breaking down a trademark to cover phonetic and anatomic variations. This manual work and expert analysis can take hours and is error-prone. In 60 seconds, Haloo does it better.

Wait, how is Haloo so affordable?
How can we produce the most reliable search data in the world and offer it at the best price in our industry?
Our deep AI is the only AI out there that performs a full, comprehensive search, examining each element of the "likehihood of confusion" analysis accurately and reliably.
Our technology is the only trademark search tool that has been built in consultation with USPTO examiners and lawyers.
If your current process for clearing trademarks doesn't catch these legally-infringing conflicts, or if it took you longer than 10 seconds (and cost more than $25) to find them, it might be time to rethink that process.
Your clients will thank you. (Your bottom line, too.)
