I'm concerned about security - is my search history safe/secure?

Absolutely. Sometimes people ask us - if Haloo uses a learning algorithm, is it being trained on MY searches? The answer is no - we have our own data that we use to train the algorithm.

We do not share your search history with anyone and may only ask about search history if our support team is helping to troubleshoot a specific problem on behalf of the client.

I'm on a flex plan billed by number of searches - can you also see WHAT I'm searching?

No - we cannot. Activities from within your account are tracked only insofar as we can see an action was taken. The details of your searches are totally private - this allows us to accurately bill you based on number of searches performed, but does NOT allow us to see what was searched for or what the results were.

How does billing work?

We currently offer 2 kinds of recurring (subscription based) billing: Monthly, and Annual. Each of these billing types is charged to your credit card automatically using our secure payment processor called Stripe.

Once you agree to a plan, we will set you up with a method for paying your invoice online and will only charge you according to the subscription terms you agreed to in consultation with our sales team.

Can I pay with a wire/bank transfer?

Credit Card payments are still the safest, most secure way to pay for Online Services. Bank transfer information can get lost in the shuffle, or mishandled, and can lead to confusion about whether a bill has been paid.

With Credit Card, there's no confusion and your data is saved privately and securely by our third party provider Stripe.

Stripe is trusted by organizations the world over and has some of the strongest data protection policies of any payment provider. To learn more about stripe's security click here: Stripe Security

Why did my bill change?

If you've noticed that your bill has recently changed, check your original welcome email with the subscription terms, or your last online receipt/invoice - the terms will almost always clarify what the change was in reference to.

Many of our plans start at introductory rates that are set up for the first 2-4 months of your time with us.

If you feel your bill has changed and these changes are not reflected in the original terms of your offer - please reach out, we'll be happy to help explain or rectify anything unusual.

Why do you charge in USD?

While we are a Canadian company we - alongside many other online services charge in USD. This is because USD is still the standard for international online services and software in particular.

How do I cancel my billing?

If you want to cancel your billing please reach out to our director of customer experience at this address: kaleigh@haloo.co

How do I transfer account ownership to someone else?

Please contact us with all of the information including identity verification information so we can confirm the transfer. We will also need to be in touch with the person you intend to transfer the account too so that new billing can be set up in their name.

How can I remove users who no longer work with me?

Inside Haloo - on the lefthand side of your navigation menu at the bottom is the section for "Users"

Users can be deleted by clicking on the "..." icon next to their name and selecting "disable"

disableusers

Okay I'm done searching - how do I FILE for a trademark?

While Haloo does not currently take that extra step of filing for you - we can get you as close as possible with our Drafting functionality. This will help you draft an application for filing with your attorney or with your local branch of government.

Here are some resources for how to file a trademark depending on where you live:
