New to Haloo: Common Law Is Now an On-Demand Step

We’ve made an exciting update to improve speed and performance on the platform. You’ll now run Common Law as a follow-up step in Comprehensive and Screening searches— giving you faster Jurisdictional results and more flexibility.

What to Expect

  • Faster access to your Jurisdictional trademark results.

  • Once results are available, you’ll have the option to:

    • Run a Common Law search — with or without adding Web Common Law keywords.

  • No need to wait while Common Law runs — you can continue working in your Jurisdictional tabs.

  • Return to the Common Law results for review once they’re complete.

How It Works

Search Parameters

  • Set up your classes and subclasses as usual, then run the search.

  • Note: Web Common Law keywords are no longer entered during this setup step.

Reviewing Results

  • Once the search is complete, Jurisdictional records will be ready for review.

  • A Common Law tab will appear. You can choose to run this section if it’s relevant to your search.

  • In the Common Law tab, you’ll have the option to add Web Common Law keywords before running the search.

While the Common Law Search Runs

    • Continue working in the other Jurisdictional tabs while the Common Law search processes.

    • Return to the Common Law tab once the results are ready to complete your review.
