How to set up Projects within Haloo and select jurisdictions

How to use Projects

Projects can be used to run multiple trademark searches for the same search parameters. Projects are created within a Team. Use Projects to organize your work within Haloo for each new project, matter, or stream of work (ie a new brand launch or campaign). 

Setting up Projects

To set up each project, follow these steps: 

1. Create new project: Click the "New Search" button beneath the dashboard welcome or click on the Search Projects Tab on the lefthand side and then click "+New Project"
   
   
   
2. Add name and description: Give your project a name and simple description so that all users on your team know what the project entails. Client name and Matter/Billing number are a helpful way to name projects, for legal users. 
3. Select type of search and jurisdiction: Haloo offers the most comprehensive instant AI-powered trademark search in the market across 193 jurisdictions, with the lowest data latency in the market. You have the option to conduct one of two types of searches: 
   1. Global Knockout searches across 193 jurisdictions for exact-match results, and
   2. Instant Comprehensive searches in sets of up to 5 concurrent jurisdictions
      
      
      

Global knockout searches

Run an instant Global Knockout search across all 193 jurisdictions concurrently (for word marks only). 

Haloo searches across all Nice Classes and all trademark statuses (active and inactive) for a Global Knockout search. Global Knockout searches include conflicts from the "Exact Match" bucket only. If there are no "Exact Match" conflicts from a particular jurisdiction, you will not see that jurisdiction referenced in the Global Knockout search.

Jurisdictions appear alphabetically in a Global Knockout search.

If there are multiple conflicts cited from a single jurisdiction, Haloo will prioritize conflicts by status (ie. active marks will appear above inactive marks) and by search parameters and Nice Class (ie. marks with common keywords, in overlapping Nice Class subclasses and Nice Classes, will appear above marks that are out of Class, etc.). 

Global Knockout searches will appear with one of Haloo's three informational risk rankings: STOP, PAUSE or PASS. 

Note that Global Knockout Searches may take up to 5 minutes to run. 

Instant comprehensive searches

Run an instant deep, comprehensive trademark search in up to 5 jurisdictions concurrently. 

Jurisdictions can be added to your search: 

1. By country 
2. By region
3. By custom grouping. Build and save custom groupings for future searches. Custom groupings can contain up to 5 countries (coming soon)

Common Law and Domain name searching will run alongside all jurisdictions. 

Global Knockout searches will appear with one of Haloo's three informational risk rankings: STOP, PAUSE or PASS. 

When searching across multiple jurisdictions, reports can be downloaded on a jurisdiction by jurisdiction basis (coming soon). 

Design marks searches are currently available in the United States and Canada only.
